9 Red: Whitley
Juniors and Christ The King contributed to an excellent match that could have
gone either way. Callum Bullock opened the scoring for Whitley but Kings worked
hard, equalised before half time and went ahead early in the second half.
However impressive Whitley defender M. Richards scored a deserved goal and the
teams shared the points. An even contest between Coventry Sphinx Juniors and
Dunlop Juniors was decided by two first half goals from Dunlops Kieran Conway.
His first was an angled drive from the right wing, the second after a mix up in
the Sphinx defence. The second period failed to produce a goal although Sphinx
pressed hard to break down a resolute Dunlop defence. Coventry Sphinx Juniors 0

10 Red: In a
game that swung from end to end Chapelfields Colts
managed to edge out a lively Ernesford Dynamo’s side that pushed them
all the way. Colts led when Joe Henderson’s cross was helped in by the
unfortunate keeper. There were chances at both ends but early in the second half
Alex Winders increased Colts lead after good approach work. Liam Thomas revived
Dynamo’s when he scored from a free kick but Joe Henderson sealed the win with
a late goal on the break.

10 Blue:
Mount Nod Highway were in fine form against lowly London Road Colts and ran out
deserved 4-0 winners with man of the match Charlie Cook grabbing two goals.
Dunlop Juniors and AT7 youth were involved in a very tight, competitive match.
Mason Osbourne scored midway through the first half for AT7 and Dunlop kept
applying pressure. It needed good work by AT7 man of the match Adam Fox and his
co defenders to maintain their 1-0 advantage. Mount Nod Highway 4 (Charlie Cook

10 Green: Two
first half goals from William Vines helped to settle Finham Park Rangers at
Chapelfields. Jamie Lucas and Jordan Cooke levelled the score in the second half
before Chas Mulhall and Andy Scott aided by Glenn Robinson set up Vines for his
hat trick. Jamie Cozens (2) and Roddy McCallum boosted Finham to 6-2 but firm
defence from Dale Merriman, Chris Perry, Christian Lynch and William Kenney
Herbert was still needed to keep the Colts at bay.
Pro
Santos took a 3rd minute lead when Ryan Murray scored against
Brinklow Juinors who then equalized through Ben Stone before Jack Scandrett
restored the lead for Santos, only for Ben Stone to level the scores with his
second goal before half time. Henry Beboer struck early in the second half for
Brinklow and although both teams battled well and Brinklow’s Michael Paul
rattled the woodwork twice and birthday boy Connor King impressed in attack, it
proved to be the decisive goal in an entertaining fixture.

11 Knock Out Cup 2nd Round: Tom
Rawlings scored early in the first half and Matt Budd added another in the
second, finishing off a good through ball from Tom Annett. The AT7 youth keeper
acquitted himself well in an otherwise scrappy game. A Division Whitley Juniors
were too strong for B Division

11B: During
the first half Finham Lions struggled to contain a lively Christ The King side
who took an early lead when Robert Jones struck. However as their confidence
grew in the second half Lions turned the game around with two goals in as many
minutes. Ben Perry scored with a shot off the underside of the bar and was on
hand to net again when a Daniel O’Callaghan shot was only partially dealt with
by the Kings defence. Dan McQuillan added a third , forcing the ball home from
close in, to secure a 3-1 win.
