10 Green: Wyken
Colts broke the deadlock against Finham Park Colts when Josh Bolton netted from
the penalty spot. He added a second with a twenty-yard free kick. With Jake
Whittaker and Josh Maguire running the midfield, it was no surprise when
Whittaker added a third goal before Louis Bolton netted number four. Finham
pulled back to 4-2 when Thomas Openshaw and Jamie Bradbury both scored late in
the game. A well taken first half goal by Charlie Mulhall put Finham Park
Rangers in front against a determined Brinklow Juniors. Only a diving stop by
the Finham ‘keeper, William Kenney-Herbert denied Brinklow an equaliser at the
start of the second half before Finham, with Jamie Cozens prominent eventually
broke through for Glen Robinson to score twice to round off the 3-0 win.
Coventry Jaguar youth won their first match of the season after an entertaining
game with Wyken FC. Wyken took the lead through Scott Chalmers but goals from
Matthew Kettel and Sean Lawler put the Jaguar in front only for Reece Garland to
bring the scores level again. An exciting second half developed but it was not
until the last minute that the Jaguar sealed a 3-2 win when Lewis Robinson
volleyed in a corner by Michael Pearson. Kayne Mann celebrated his birthday with
a goal in the 5-1 win by Dunlop Juniors at Athletic United. Athletic had taken
the lead but by half time trailed 3-1 with Liam Oglesby and Luke Wensley scoring
for Dunlop. In the second half, Oglesby and a fierce drive from Christopher
James tallied up the score. The Boat roared into a 3-0 half time lead against
Pro Santos with an excellent all round performance. The visitors came back
strongly in the second half keeping Declan McCann busy in the Boat goal before
Jack Scandrett pulled a goal back. However a hat trick in the last fifteen
minutes by Mason Price gave The Boat a 6-1 win. Joss Selby (2) and man of the
match Steven Minard also scoring. Goalkeeper James Shannon picked up the man of
the match award for Binley Woods as they edged Chapelfields Colts 2-1. Second
half substitute opened the scoring for Binley Woods and James Formstone soon
doubled this before Jake Frost pulled a goal back for the Colts in the last
minute.

11A: After
Jamie Trickett had given Christ the King the lead, Finham Park Rangers equalised
when Tom Rawlings latched on to a through ball from Sean Kirkwood. Rawlings then
put Finham in front with a spectacular overhead kick before Christ the King
levelled with five minutes to go and then nearly took the lead but Ben Garbett
cleared the Finham line. In the last minute, Finham claimed a 3-2 win when
Rawlings completed his hat trick, turning in a free kick by Sam Garbett. Steffan
Grudzinski put Dunlop Juniors in front against Rugby Town and then their defence
marshalled by Scott White, Andy Hiorns and Ryan Cowley fended off Rugby until
midway through the second half when David Dudgeon levelled the score.
A through ball by Jordan Daniels set up Jake Holt to make the score 2-1
but Dunlop had goalkeeper, Ryan Copping to thank for the points for his
excellent save in the last minute when Rugby also hit the post. Whitley Juniors
and Coventry Sphinx played out a fiercely competitive match that the Juniors won
2-1. Callum Fleming gave Whitley the advantage and Harry Freeman grabbed a
second with Sam Skerratt notching the Sphinx goal.

Dynamos improvement was evident was they attacked from the start against
Leamington Hibs. Daniel Randle put them in front from a corner kick and Adam
Jones made it 2-0 midway through the second half.
The Hibs found it difficult going with Jack Ford strong in defence for
Dunlop but a well worked move allowed them to pull a goal back past the Dunlop
goalie, Derry Ioami, before Amit Gill made it 3-1 to Dunlop. Leamington struck
back again to make the score 3-2 but Dunlop stood firm to take the points.

14 Knock-Out Cup Round 1: North Warwickshire went out to a 5-4 reverse at
Binley Woods. David Lipman put the college in front with a debut goal that was
quickly added to by Sam Garnham but by half time, Binley Woods led 3-2. From the
re-start, Blain Shepherd went down the left wing to cross for Fraser Mullis to
force the ball in to the Binley net for an equaliser. The home team then went
5-3 in front before Garnham added a fourth for the College from the penalty spot
after Warren Fulford was bought down. Firefighters proved too strong for a
sporting, never say die, Spencer Sports. A second half penalty saves by the
Spencer goalkeeper proved their spirit despite an overwhelming 13-0 defeat. Alex
Semple (4), Ricky Handley (3)

three heavy defeats, Kenilworth Town picked up their first win of the season,
5-0 against Coventry Red Devils, Jon Worthington and Jack Cotton both scoring
twice whilst Morris Rangers came from 0-2 behind to defeat White Hart Sports
5-2. A first half blitz by Dunlop Juniors set up their 5-0 success at Chetwynd
Corner Post netted three times in the second half to see off the challenge of
PSA Peugeot Citroen 5-2 and their were comfortable wins for Coventry Jaguar
Youth and Nuneaton Griff. Matthew Miller gave Hartshill Sports the lead with a
smart strike although Chapelfields Colts acquitted themselves well against their
higher league opponents. They were good value for their interval lead with two
Scott Carter goals and although Miller scored his second of the game Carter went
on to complete a hat trick. Ahmed Benisaud put Chapelfields 4-2 up before
Matthew Shaw bought Hartshill back to 3-4 only for the Colts to hold on for a
