9 Red: Dunlop
Juniors and Hawkes Mill put together a thoroughly entertaining sporting game
that was settled 1-0 in Dunlops’ favour when Nathan McGarrity scored midway
through the second half. Although Hawkes Mill piled on the pressure, the Dunlop
defence backed by goalkeeper Luke Maxwell stood firm.

Curtis Cutts gave Chapelfields an early lead against Finham and although Finham
pressed hard in an attempt to level, Chapelfields grabbed a 2-0 win when a
through ball from Lewis Normoyle gave Cutts the chance to score his second goal.
An enthusiastic performance by Coventry Jaguar earned them a half time lead with
a goal from Andrew Hart. Brinklow Juniors forced the pace but the Jaguar defence
of Aaron Tooth, Callum Jones, Adam Keebles and Sean Morgan held firm. Late in
the game, goalkeeper Daniel Carter saved a Brinklow spot kick before a 1-1 draw
was settled when Phillip Barrett headed in a corner kick for Brinklow Juniors,
two minutes form the end. A Liam Rock treble, all laid on by man of the match,
midfielder Jordan Hiscox, failed to earn Whitley Juniors any reward for their
efforts against AT7 Youth who edged a 4-3 win after Lentine Shaw (2), Ryan
Mandara and Ciaran Gill all capitalised on defensive errors to score. Ryan Moir
and Lewis Chester both capped fine displays with a goal apiece as Dunlop Juniors
defeated hard working stablemates, Dunlop Jets 5-0 with Drew Moloney and Sean
Nugent (2) completing the scoring.

Kemp and James Formstone both scored twice as Ernesford Dynamos secured a 5-1
win over Christ the King. Kemp opened the scoring from a Jack Dobson cross with
Formstone adding the second before Lewis Martin struck for the Kings. Excellent
defence by Liam Thomas and Sean Quirke kept the Kings at bay before Formstone
struck again from a Danny Carey through ball and the win was wrapped up as
Dobson and Kemp added further goals.

Palmer struck to give Morris Rangers the lead against Dunlop Juniors but it was
level by half time when Adam Nally scored. In the second half, the goalkeepers
were kept busy with Kieran White (Dunlop) in fine form. Dunlop grabbed a 2-1 win
when Ricardo Calderello chipped the ball just out of reach of the Morris
goalkeeper. Coventry Jaguar were very lacklustre in the first half against
Caludon Youth after losing two early goals. Caludon were 5-0 up at half time, a
lead they held despite a battling second half performance by the Jaguar for whom
Aaron Jones was outstanding in goal. Ryan Leybourne (3) and Corey Carpenter (2)
put Caludon on top before the Jaguar fought back in the second half but the
Caludon defence, marshalled by Corey Galbraith, held tight. Goals by Mason
Osborne in the first half, Michael Grady and Bradley Bottrill in the second half
earned AT7 Youth a hard earned 3-0 win against London Road. It was not all one
way traffic as the Lions pushed AT7 all the way with defender Matthew Dolan and
‘keeper Kyle Bhara kept busy, particularly in the second half.

11A: After
Tom Rawlings had given Finham the lead, PSA Peugeot Citroen struck back to score
twice before half time but Finham took the points 3-2 when Rawlings completed a
hat trick in the second half. AT7 Youth and London Road lions provided a feast
for the watching spectators with AT7 just shading an eleven-goal thriller 6-5.
Steve Cotton gave the Lions the lead but goals from Conor Mortimer, James Haynes
and BJ Middleton put AT7 in control. A brace from Ryan Haraburda just after half
time pulled the scores level but Liam Richardson and Middleton restored the
two-goal lead for AT7. Back came London Road as Cotton scored his second goal.
AT7 then went 6-4 in front after Richardson converted a cross by McCloskey
before Haraburda completed a treble for the Lions to set up a frantic finish to
the game. A goal from Ryan Blayney supported by a Liam Browne penalty kick put
Christ the King well on top after only fifteen minutes of the game with Whitley
Juniors. A superb stop by Ryan Dean in the Whitley goal stopped the Kings from
extending their lead in the first half. The second half was different however
after Liam Rutter had scored for Whitley. The same player then levelled the
score at 2-2 with a stunning shot into the top corner from eighteen yards. As
Whitley pushed forward in search of more goals, Sam Murphy and Eddie Owen in the
Kings defence proved highly resistant as the match ended 2-2.

12A: PSA
Peugeot Citroen triumphed in an entertaining game with Chapelfields Colts. After
an even start, Peugeot broke the deadlock with three long range shots that
eluded the Colts goalkeeper, despite him getting fingertips to the ball.
Chapelfields fought back to see two efforts disallowed before conceding a
fourth. After the interval, Sean O’Donnell scored twice to reduce the arrears,
thanks to passes by Jacob Blackwell and Jake Burgess but a third goal eluded
them. Scott Patterson helped to tighten the Colts defence but they were beaten
for a fifth time from a set piece for Peugeot to claim a 5-2 success.

Woods collected their first win of the season, 2-0 against Kenilworth Town
Juniors. Ashley Monger in the Binley goal was forced into early action as
Kenilworth dominated the early stages but Paul Green scored after twenty-five
minutes, Binley settled down. In the second half with Ryan Bowen defending
soundly, Binley used the ball well and went 2-0 up ten minutes before time when
Michael Spencer scored direct from a corner kick. Leaders All Nations FC
extended their unbeaten run with an impressive 5-1 win against Ryona FC. Some
excellent finishing saw Wayne Hinks and Kieran Joseph score two apiece with the
fifth goal coming from Ravinder Sandhu as Thomas Gibbins netted the Ryona
consolation.
